Design, manufacture, and maintenance of moulds for in-house production and for third parties.
Mechanical workshop: activities and processes
Mould production
SIPA’s mechanical workshop is a strategic department that ensures complete control over the production process. Here, we design, manufacture, and maintain moulds for both our in-house production of small plastic and metal parts and for contract manufacturing, whether based on drawings or prototypes.
Machinery and processes
Our machine fleet includes 4 CNC machining centres, 3 tangential grinding machines, a lathe, a radial drilling machine, a micro-drilling machine, a die-sinking EDM machine, and 2 wire EDM machines. This equipment means we can do really precise work on the moulds we use in our production processes.
The advantages of an in-house mechanical workshop
In-house mould management reduces order start-up times, improves the quality of the results, and ensures production continuity.
The strengths of the SIPA mechanical workshop

In-house design and manufacture of moulds
Having our own in-house mechanical workshop, we can develop bespoke moulds based on drawings, samples or prototypes. This ensures production autonomy, project confidentiality and optimised lead times.
High-precision machining
CNC machining centres, tangential grinding machines, and sinker and wire EDM machines enable the production of mould components with controlled tolerances.
Ongoing mould maintenance and management
Over 3000 moulds managed and upgraded over time attest to the expertise and organisational capabilities that SIPA can offer its customers. In-house maintenance reduces production downtime, increases efficiency, and ensures continuity of supply.
Machines
CNC machining center
CNC machining center used for precision machining of components and moulds, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and the quality of machined surfaces.
Mould storage and cataloguing area
An area designed for the storage and management of moulds used in production, where moulds can be stored, their historical data catalogued, and moved quickly.
Mould and component lifting system
Hoist-based handling system used to lift and position moulds and heavy components during machining and maintenance operations.
